The Walters Art Museum brings art and people together for enjoyment, discovery, and learning. We strive to create a place where people of every background can be touched by art. The Walters collection includes works of art from around the world, from ancient Egyptian mummy masks and medieval armor to 19th-century French impressionism and turn-of-the-century art deco.
Part-Time Positions
Museum Education Events Assistants at the Walters facilitate family festivals, weekly drop-in art activities, hands-on gallery activities, birthday parties, scout programs, preschool workshops, and family tours for Children and Family Programs. Assistants facilitate courses, lectures, seminars, workshops, performances, and receptions for Adult Programs. Evening and weekend hours are required. 1 year experience dealing with the public and working with children required.
Internship Positions
We are seeking interns for the following departments:
EDUCATION
- Gallery Education Internship – lead school tours for K-12 students
- Studio Teaching Internship – lead studio classes for K-12 students
- School Programs – compose teacher newsletters and lesson plans
- Family Programs – assist with summer student art camps and research family festival events and performers

Research works of arts and update the permanent collection database
EXHIBITIONS
Digitize curatorial file and photographs
CONSERVATION
Digitize conservation records and object treatments
DEVELOPMENT
Plan special fundraising events; update donations database; research potential donors
