The Art of the Interview

Tuesday, March 10
3:00 – 4:30 PM
Brown 320

Please join us for a workshop on developing your interviewing skills. The workshop will be led by Erin Myers (’96), Human Resources Director at Threespot Media, an interactive design firm in Washington, DC.
The workshop will cover tips on interviewing for a creative position, including preparation, how to handle difficult questions, etiquette, follow-up, and dress. This event is intended to help students prepare for the Internship + Career Fair, where they may interview with employers and internship providers.
About Erin Myers:

As Threespot’s Director of Human Resources, Erin is responsible for planning, directing, and carrying out policies relating to all phases of personnel activity. She manages Threespot’s hiring process from recruiting to orientation, working to bring talent on board who can collectively champion Threespot’s work and culture, both internally and to clients.

Prior to Threespot, Erin served as a creative recruiter for a national placement agency, the director of client services for a local boutique marketing agency, and the assistant director of marketing for an organic farm in Washington, Virginia. Earlier in her career, she worked as a custom photographic printer, photographic retoucher, and professional fine art photographer.

Erin attended the MICA where she majored in photography. Outside of Threespot, Erin spends her time balanced between drinking wine with her sommelier husband Andy, scuba diving, and spinning music as a club and special events DJ (not all at the same time, of course). She still considers herself a photographer, too, and never misses an opportunity to point her camera and shoot when the moment is right.
